I have two wonderful boys my eldest is 4 and my youngest is 2 I would like to meet some mums in the area and the boys would like to make some friends too. Hi there,
Dont know if il be much use but im a 21 year old single mum to my 14 month old son, Hayden. My mums parents live at Whangaparoa so we are often up there on the weekends and at Orewa- We live in west auckland. I know there is a playgroup for the younger children up at Whangaparoa if that might help you out. Welcome to NZ!

Hiya! I've been in Orewa a year, and have found it very hard to meet "new" people..
I have a 3.5yr old and two school aged children, my son goes to daycare two days a week so we would love to catch up and his home days..there a couple of girls that live in Whangaparoa who have children around the same age. There is wiggle and rhyme and story-time held at Orewa Library and also Whangaparoa library. There is also a toy library at the church on Centreway Road (costs $20 a term). I live in Whangaparaoa and would be happy to meet up. I have a nearly 4 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. Hi, I am new to this site as just discovered this post when googling plunket + orewa.....anyhow we are fairly new to Orewa too (7 months or so) & am in that awkward stage of trying to entertain the 3year old but also ensure the 6month old gets naps etc whilst doing the school run for the 5year old.
My 3yr old daughter is on waiting list for a kindy but I feel horribly guilty she isn't getting as entertained as she should be, because our North Shore mums are a little too far away for catch ups & I still haven't managed to drag her to anything else (& then of course I feel bad for the baby he doesn't get a good sleep but that's another story) Phew anyway with the risk of sounding like a singles club I am definitely interested in meeting up with local mums too please. p.s as a side note - keen on doing walks with like minded mums at night (when the dads can babysit) if anyone interested in this please PM me. |

Hi everyone,
We've just moved to the area and don't know anyone so would be lovely to hook up if you all meet up again? I've 2 boys (twins) who are 2 on Friday and a baby girl who's 7 months. It's pretty hectic!! I'm British, been in NZ 1 year at the end of this month, but in this area a couple of months, and have no family/friends in NZ. It's been a roller coaster and only just found this Oh Baby website! I wonder what else I've missed!!!

There is a child friendly cafe in mairangi bay that has a climbing frame etc - and its fenced in - no escapees while mum gets to chill. Its called cafe windsor My girls loove it! ------------- http://lilypie.com]

we live on the peninsula and would love to meet up and meet new people. i have a 20month old boy and a 5 month old girl shall we try and arrange a meet up? weekends is ok if you work? otherwise mon or tues morning is best for me |

Okay so why dont we meet at Oliver's in Orewa, get take away coffees and walk to the playground near the Surf Club? That way you can just drive around the corner to work Kirst? |
