Hi all,
My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for 7 months, when I was younger I was told I may have PCOS, but no tests were run. We are about to go and see FA next week, but needed to ask as waiting is a horrible thing. I have had some bloods done, a hormone essay on the 2nd day of my period, which turned out to be the 5th as we had a chemical pregnany, I had two positive preg tests and two negs, then my period started 3 days later, we were gutted. Below are my hormonne essay results, if possible and if anyone knows about them, can you tell us if they are OK or not and if we will be OK =) ???
FSH - 6.0 U/L
Follicular / Luteal 2-12
Mid-Cycle Peak 6-25
Postmenopause 30-120
Oestradial - <100 pmol/L
Follicular <100-921
Preovulation 147-2511
Luteal <100-1207
Postmenopause <100
OC <100
Pregnancy up to 99000
LH: 5.8 U/L
Follicular / Luteal 1-18
Mid-Cycle Peak 15-80
Postmenopause 7-60
Testosterone: 1.0 nmol/L (0-3)
Thank you for all your help
Betty

Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnacy .
It is possible to have PCOS without your bloods showing that you're likely to, though - just something to bear in mind. FA will probably do a scan at the appointment, though, so they'll be able to see for sure if it's a problem. Is your period regular?
In any case, because you asked - you will be OK. Infertility is a long and hard journey (I'm sure the seven months you've been though already have been bad enough). Regardless of what news you get at your FA appointment, you'll find the strength you need, and the chances are very very high that in the end you will get there. All the best for the trip to that point, though, it can be very hard. The ladies in the infertility section can be a huge support, if you haven't popped in there yet?

Hi Hopes
Thanks for your words, they are very nice. My periods are regular, every 28 days, ever since we started trying my periods have been fine. The only late one was the chemical pregnancy.
Thanks again
Betty
