Hi guys

I am looking at trying Clomiphene after 4 years of TTC naturally. Unfortunately I don't qualify for public funding in the Auckland area due to my BMI, and was wondering if anyone knew what I would be looking at cost wise if I were to go private?

Thanks :)

Hi Trina
I think an initial consult with a specialist is around the $200 mark. Some will still refuse to prescribe clomiphene if your BMI is too high so it may pay to email and ask that question before spending the money. FYI though, GPs can now legally prescribe clomiphene although many aren't keen to do so as fertility is not their field of expertise. GL to you!
