One of my old work mates is down there, so that means more people from my work will be too...... 
I so hope they are okay, he is an awesome guy, but if anyone was to be down there then he would be best, he is so practical and level headed.... although he will be missing his smokes by now! (he is great at cheering guys up and seeing the lighter side)  -------------

Feel very sorry for them, just read an article on stuff of 2 brothers, one got out and ones still trapped but their grandfather died last night! Feeling for their family!

It is not looking good...Day 5 & no signs of rescue.
I have just watch it on TV3 & feel for the families. They showed a plan of were they may be scattered & where the 2 that got out were. They believe there is a fire below.  to all the families

2nd explosion in mine & they are saying all are dead...
so sad.
it was probably likely they died before today, hopefully it was quick & no suffering. |

Sad thing is they may never get the bodies out
I have been watching & reading about it for days, I guess after what happen with the Chile miners you always hope they will be rescued but with the reading this morning it did not sound good. It looks like they knew all along hence no rescuers sent in. I feel for the families & have read about the men & that young boy who started working there on Friday after his birthday the day before instead of Monday when he was meant to....things like this really make you feel helpless.

I knew 4 of the guys in there, one had older kids, two hand younger, and the last guys partner only found out she was pregnant on friday. I used to work with three of them and I am absoloutley gutted, they were all hard working men who loved thier families and wanted to go out and work so they could support them. This will be the end of the mine, they will probably have to seal it off to contain any burning material before they can recover the bodies, which means a long wait for the families involved. When you see your partner next, give them a hug and tell them you love them. -------------
