kids vary so much if I remember correctly nephew still isn't standing unassisted at 14mths. He does weight bare if he is stood up however. (DD was an early walker so not much help)
If it is concerning you take her to the Dr, best to get her checked out and put your mind at ease. I think, I would have to talk to my SIL who is a physio that slightly longer leg isn't that big a deal, obviously depending on the difference, she thinks DD might have a longer leg and says that most people do, its only out by a small bit though. Oh one thought I did have is when she has had her plunket checks and her birth checks were her hips ok? Were the rolls on her legs matching and do you ever hear clicks? I'd go with the "probably nothing, but if it's worrying you, doctors visits are free" approach? Or perhaps ring plunket line?

She may not like the feeling of putting weight on her feet, maybe a sensory thing. If its worrying you, I would check with the Dr. They may refer her for physical therapy or something. Just a thought, or it might be nothing. Which it probably is.  ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

First off - Don't panic!!!
How is she weight wise? Lily was much the same until about 7 months then she decided she'd put weight on her legs and slowly she is putting more and more. PAFT also told me to get her legs checked - turns out DD never had a hip check at birth. Anyway went through a waiting list and DD eventually got her hips checked at the hosp including an X-ray... But the doc (2nd opinion) took one look at her and said 'there's nothing wrong! She's just a big girl!' She was about 8+kg at the time (6 months) And the cause for concern was uneven leg rolls (asymmetrical actually) which is why they thought one leg longer/shorter or a hip problem. | A wee one I know, who had clicky hips, had this. She also wasn't rolling at about the same age. Was referred for physio at developmental service - now is a running, jumping 3 year old. |

This is almost exactly my DD - she also never bore weight on her feet right from birth (9lb2oz) and was crawling well before she could put weight on her feet. She also has uneven leg creases, still has one big crease in one leg and none in the other. Hips x-rayed and fine. It's actually pleasing to know she's not alone!!! |

Her hips are fine. She's a wee girl probably only 7 maybe 8 kgs. She's only just got into crawler size spozies!!!! I haven't really thought about it until now. You hear about babie who only want to stand when being held. I think DS was a stander, but then he crawled at 8 months the bascially went straight to puling himself up and walked at 10 months. From memory my neighbours girl was like that, I remember trying to get her to stand and she'd just pull her legs up

Maybe she will when she is ready then!
