Looks like we can win a 25k holiday package and other stuff on this site. Don’t think many people know about it so we could do pretty well! They all seem to be NZ based about the Telstra ads. The easier one today is Mayor Island I'm almost certain, but not too sure what the harder one is:

“TC and Bill roared through Tauranga in search of their next destination. “What’s this place called, then?” asked Bill. TC replied, “Just think of Mayfair, only if your nose was blocked.” Which suburb are they looking for? (7 characters)

I want to say Papamoa as that’s near Tauranga and fits the character limit but it doesn’t really fit the question?

link for the questions is here anyway: http://www.jointhejourney.co.nz/mark.cfm

Oooh I love this kind of thing! Thanks for directing my attention! I believe you are right about the first answer- looks pretty correct.
When I went to the link, it had a (8) afterward so that means 8 characters? I thought perhaps it was Te Maunga as that could sound like Tauranga with your nose blocked, but still doesnt really answer the question either...

Yeah weird, they changed it from 7 to 8 then back to 7 again good thinking with Bayfair, makes a lot more sense than my idea. Just waiting on them to put today's one up, good little thing to do to break work up a bit!

Nice!

Todays:

“Hey Bill, this is a great lake to go on a mixed up oar tour,” said TC. Unscramble the two mixed-up words to find out where TC and Bill are today. (7)

and

“We’re just 100kms from my favourite holiday spot,” said TC. “Am I going to have to guess again?” asked Bill. “The clue is that New Zealand’s biggest flower stems from there,” said TC. (4,5)

Yeah how come LittleMiss? Can they block people??

todays ones

In the second TV ad, what colour is the horse that TC and Bill are riding? (5)

As a galaxy of pinpoints shone down, TC picked up Bill's receiver and heard an odd sound. "It's the messy smiletone," Bill said apologetically. "This whole place is, come to think of it." What is Bill talking about?

The horse is white I know that one for sure!

Which two words are written above the door of the old building TC and Bill come across in the second TV ad? (9, 8)
Telephone Exchange

Bill was tired of the bike, and was thinking about getting a train to their next destination. "There's no tram,” he said. “So Wanganui's nearest railway station, it is!" Can you find the two backwards words that point to the station? (6)

Marton

Haha I found the same thing! Some are impossible unless you've seen the ads.

Today's

In the first TV ad, what is written on the back of the Director’s chair? (8)

Director

This lovely Wanganui attraction exhibited signs of creativity, and TC was relieved to see that there was a sergeant on the case – even if he was spelt differently. (8,7)

Date Posted: 02 November 2010 at 10:09am
New Plymouth is named after Plymouth, England where the first English settlers came from. What county is Plymouth in? : Devon

They flew through New Plymouth so fast that Bill missed the sculpture on the waterfront. TC said, “Don’t worry. Visit the site of the muddled-up kiwi and you’ll find a picture of it.” What is the name of the sculpture? : Wind Wand
