Hi,
Just wanna connect with anyone who has endometriosis and ended up getting pregnant. Unfortunately, I had a laparoscopy which turned really bad & I ended up with secondary peritonitis (really bad infection) and its now playing havoc with my gall bladder etc, however recent gastroscopy has come back normal. I have been advised to wait 6 mths before starting IVF because of problems I've had. Has anyone out got pregnant after medical probs?

Hi, sorry to hear about what you've been through! I had endo which I got removed during a laparoscopy in 2008 where I also had an enlarged left pelvic vein which was really painful (around August) and I got pregnant in Feb 2009 after being off the pill for around about 5 or so months...so all the best for your TTC journey! I hope it all works out for you

Hi louloubell, sorry to hear about your bad lap experience and hope you are feeling ok after the infection.

I'm not much help I'm afraid, but didn't want to read and run. I had a lap in Oct 08 as I presented with all the clinical signs of Endo. Un/fortunately they didn't find any endo on my lap but I have some structural abnormalities (in short, my whole pelvic cavity is deeply folded and covered in lots of large blood vessels instead of being a smooth flat sheet). They recommended I have a Mirena IUD fitted and I had that in for just over a year. Since then, I haven't had anywhere near as much pain or lots of the other symptoms so it must have cleaned me out or something! DH and I have been TTC #1 for 6 months so far and no joy. I also have poor ovulation and a short luteal phase so Dr is recommending we go to Fertility Specialists. Probably not the good news story you were wanting but thought I would share my experience with you.

Best of luck to you and hope your TTC journey is a short one.

Hi Louloubell, I have endo and am currently TTCing. I'd recommend posting this question on the pregnancy or first baby part of the forum as most women here aren't pregnant yet!
