Hey
I'm BF my baby atm but we would like to start trying Nov/Dec BUT I haven't got my AF back at all. How do you know when it is possible to get pregnant again? (I'm on the mini pill and I do wonder if that has anything to do with not having it back yet.)
Is it possible to get pregnant without having AF back and while BF?

I am bfing and haven't had AF back yet either and Ben is 15mths!! I have been told that I could still be fertile and to either try charting or an ovulation microscope which you can buy on TM
Good luck!

My GF weaned her daughter at approx 13 months still had no AF and a couple of months later got a BFP without ever getting AF back so its highly possible that you could get UTD without having AF at all.

Totally possible to get pg without getting AF back, however, it will be a case of catching that first ovulation...
Its a bit of a wait and see game really, just keep trying and hopefully your body starts ovulating soon

I was on the mini pill after having DS1, was BF and came off mini pill when DS1 was approx 11months, and we were blessed enough to conceive DS2 without a period.
Dont know how, we werent exactly in the trying to conceive mode as I didnt expect to ovulate straight away (I had heard it usually took 6-12months for your period to return after stopping the minipill)!!
But there you are, it is done....!!

Yep totally possible. I know plenty of people who it's happened to. I'm BF and still no period, but not planning on TTC until early next year. I sort of have a range of dates I'd like to have the baby, so if still no AF, I might come off the pill right at the start of them, rather than waiting until the ideal time.
Good luck!!

I got AF back straight away. Had bleeding full on from delivery tat lasted a few weeks & then AF back a couple of weeks later...I get so jealous of the ones that don't get it back for ages lol...
I was fully BF DS2 & he weaned himself at around 7-8 mths & I did not know why, was not keeping track of AF so did a test & was pg..
As others have said you can get pg before the return of AF..

I was also fully BF but got AF back at 6wks and only took a couple of irregular cycles before it was back to regular.

I'm on the mini-pill and still BFing. I have had AF twice since having baby and then it disappeared completely. Doctor said it is normal for women on the mini-pill to have no AF for 6-12 months.
But good thing about mini-pill is it is short acting, so I would think getting UTD wouldn't be too hard. Especially being you are in you early 20's.

Ok heres a new question, beause I haven't had AF for so long, how do I know if I'm not already up the duff or not? Should I wait a month then test just to see if AF turns up now I'm off the pill?
