Hiya,
ds has started sleeping on his tummy and when I get him up his clothes and sleepsack are often soaked right through. We use Nudey Rudey nappies which have been great up until now, so I think it's just a gravity thing. Has anyone else found this and, if so, do you know if there are any cloth nappies that won't leak while tummy sleeping? I am thinking that I may have to use disposables for sleeps/naps but would prefer to stick to cloth if I can. cheers  -------------

Jake is a tummy sleeper (well a kneeling sleeper, as in on his chest and knees  ) and we dont have any problems... though he is a small wetter.
We use Ittis during the day and Fuzzi with one microfibre and one hemp trifold at night. How many inserts do you stuff it with for naps and overnight??? Maybe a hemp or bamboo insert might help? -------------

melnel, I use a triple layer hemp insert and two triple layer microfibre inserts. Sometimes he will leak a little bit when sleeping on his back, but nothing like now that he's on his tummy.
I might try contacting Nudey Rudey and see if they have any suggestions too -------------

We have a tummy sleeper and she doesn't wet through. We use Joeleze and ittis during the day and ecobubs at night. The only place she leaks is round her thighs and thats just when it starts seeping out because the inserts are saturated.
Are the nudey rudeys a low rise? That might be the cause, you may need a higher rise maybe? and also is there a way to concentrate the absorption towards the front? ------------- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/weight-loss-ticker">

I use the pop in and bitti boos and DS sleeps on his tummy usually and no probs here and he pees lots so either of those might be good choices?

I also use the popins (with an extra microfibre booster between the night booster and top one) I have all the extras folded to the front so its got barely any at the back. Since I did that we have had no more leaks. Also make sure his little man bits are pointing down when you put his nappies on and make sure the inserts are more at the front than the back. We use baby cheeks and DD is a big wetter and have never had any issues. DS sleeps on his side during the day and Ive never had any issues with leakage from him and hes a big wetter ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| We had the same problem and I used a booster folded and half and just put at the front of the nappy so there was heaps of absorbancy at the front. We were actually using disposables at night at this stage and had to use the booster in there so disposables don't necessarily fix the problem either! |

| DS is a bug wetter overnight cos he still feeds several times a night. Hes been tummy sleeping for ages, but wetting through has become more and more of a problem lately. Have tried loads of disposables too and they didnt work. I know use a petite size fuzzi, one thick mirofibre insert, then a hemp/micofibre trifold. I make sure the inserts are pulled right up to the front of the nappy, and that the frobt of his nappy is up over his belly button- thats why I had to go up to a bigger size pocket. Its working brilliantly. |
