Has anyone else had this problem? Lol all in good humor, but we've been bd-ing so much over the last few days in the hope that I ovulated, now I have yesterday and today according to opk and we both so just want a break, it's our second month of ttc but it's rather important to get utd now as my job finishes in June so we'd like to give it a really good shot... Aww man really can't be bothered tonight!

Has anyone else felt like this? Lol

Often felt like that. Mainly it was me rather then him. To tell absolute truth watching a dirty movie often helped

I often find if I spend the day thinking about it I'm ready to jump DP's bones as soon as I get home.
So maybe, just spend the day remembering that day when you were ...... and he did ....... and how you....... pretty much thinking about all the extra fab times. Also I find if I'm quite tired then I will make sure BDing happens before bedtime, as by that stage I just want to go to sleep (although do make sure you turn the stove off otherwise dinner does get a tad overdone).

OMG I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this problem lol.

My DH is 11yrs older than me so I'm like emma in that respect. He can definately take a bit more encouraging.

To be honest until recently he hasn't really been on the ttc wagon as much as me so if he's not keen it just doesn't happen (which is also why i'm not pregnant I'd imagine!!) so probably can't help with suggestions. The ones above sound rather good ...might have to give them a try lol.

We have this problem too and dirty movies work for us, I also find not getting into trakkies or yoga pants when I get home helps. I try to put on something nice/casual and low cut helps too  . If it's me not in the mood I fine Stephanie Laurens or Julie Garwood help both are great authors with very creative imaginations

Oh awesome you guys are great, it's nice to know we aren't the only ones! :) I think it's partly the whole thing of planning it whereas before ttc it was just whenever :) we both have the very similar sex drives, I am 27 and he's 30 so age isn't too much if a problem tg!

Good idea or me reading a romance I love romances so that's a very good idea! A bath together is a nice idea too :)

Thanks heaps guys, if we get utd this month it's all owing to you guys!! Haha

hope you find some resolve, I might steal some of these ideas too... DF is 32 i'm 21 plus he works 6 days and 2 nights a week so getting his attention can be difficult. I often find that giving him wine works

I can definitely agree with all the things said above. I know that my DH feels like I only want to do it when it's 'the right time' and he feels under pressure. Also (sorry TMI) I like to use lube (semen-friendly of course) and he find that actually makes things more difficult so that can be a sticking (lol) point too. We've just cut down the amount though and that has helped. Haven't tried the dirty movies yet though - maybe if TTC goes on much longer, we'll be heading in that direction.

Maybe try first thing in the morning...??? That works for us, plus the 'swimmers' are stronger in the morning apparently.....

I've also heard that he should only *ahem* ejaculate every couple of days so that is more 'concentrated'????

May as well start the day with a bang huh

I recommend pacing yourself.

I hope you get pg really quickly but its likely it will take a few months at least. In my journey for ttc#1 I got pg five times (miscarried 4 x) and most of those times we only BD once or twice around my fertile time. A lot of the time if you don't get up the duff its because the egg wasn't up to scratch and it doesn't matter how much sperm you shower on it, it won't make any difference.

I think guys often feel pressured to perform and I know my DH got really stressed and turned off by knowing he had to ejaculate or else miss another chance for a baby.

I found the longer you ttc the harder it is to keep things fun and lusty (we ttc'd for almost two and a half years). We dealt with it by making sure we had fun, non-pressured sex at non-fertile times of the month.

Good luck!!

Good Advice Vanillabean, I keep saying to DF that it'll happen straight away (only because everyone in my family is SUPER firtile).... he keeps reminding me it may not happen straight away. We'v just set a date for my IUD to come out and we'll just stop 'not trying', not sure how long we'll give it before we start charting etc.....

I know a bit about infertility as i'm adopted, to a couple that couldn't have their own children, i was super lucky that they adopted myself and my full blooded sister, and we kept in contact with my birth family which just means i have a HUGE family to contend with

well done on your little one to Vanillabean makes them all a bit more special.
