Has anyone tried the OvuVue or Fertile Focus ovulation microscopes that are for sale on TM? are they any better or as good as the Maybe Baby one? They are quite a bit cheaper

Hi,

I've got a Ovuvue which I got from baby4you and they highly recommend it.

I recommend using it right from CD1 or after AF is finished right through until you are sure you've seen the ferning as I found I actually got ferning long after I thought I'd ovulated normally.

Good luck!

babycrazy, did you have trouble seeing the pattern the first month you were looking. I seem to be following the directions but when i try and focus on the sample its so hard to see. Is it better to hold closer to your eye like in the diagram or further away? Maybe its my cruddy eyes!!

Shanazel - yeah I had a really hard time seeing anything and then one random month got really clear ferning and once I saw that I realised what I'd 'thought' was ferning wasn't really...I found it very frustrating. I've since stopped using it and have been using opk's instead. I also get quite clear cramping when I ovulate too so try to listen to my body first and foremost and confirm my thoughts with the opk.

Oh yeah..when looking at the sample I'd sometimes put my eye up close then further away to try and get a clear picture.

Hope that's helpful.
Good luck!

Thanks very much, yup thats definately helpful :) Im on day 14 now, hopefully will see something soon!! It does get so frustrating trying to understand all of these indicators lol!!!
I have some opk i bought, just cheapies, so hopefully will see a positive from those this month! I have irregular cycles, i really hope i am even ovulating!! Thats the main reason I got the Ovuvue, thought I might have a better chance of catching it than the opk.
Hate the waiting game lol

Yep the waiting does suck! And its so frustrating trying to time it right! I always wish I was one of those people who just gets UTD without having to worry lol. I'm lucky as my cycles are pretty regular except for this month where I ov'd a week later than 'normal'...I've discovered it depends which ovary I ovulate from the left is on a different planet to the right haha.
Just keep testing until you get sure signs but don't forget to BD while you're looking for all those signs hehe!
