Today I have no milk 
DD slept for 4 hours on wednesday in the day and has stuffed me up since then. She gets one letdown per side, then wont stay latched on to get the next bit, she pulls off and bites my nipples, and twists her head  My nipples hurt lots now  She wont latch on and do the hard yakka to get the milk out so is not stimulating me enough to produce more. I have been pumping after each feed but cant do anything with the milk as she doesnt take bottles. Im eating lots, drinking plenty, resting and putting her to the breast as often as possible. Any other ideas for boosting supply?-------------

Hugs Aethalia - such a stressful time! Its probably just a phase she is going through (not that it makes it any easier!)
Maybe try pumping for a little bit before the feed so she doesn't have to wait for the letdown. Keep up with the pumping as much as you can bear so your supply doesn't drop too much while she sorts herself out. Lactation cookies - the recipe is in the extended BF thread, I think.
Try hanging out skin to skin with her in bed, or in the bath. Pretty much you just need to let her suck and suck and you'll catch up. I feel your pain though - biting is horrible! Just wondering if she might have an ear infection or something, cos DD bites awfully and fusses a lot during feeding when her ears or teeth are bothering her. I had some issues with my DD at about that age with my supply and she would fuss and fuss.
I go these pills called "Milk Flow" you can get them from the chemist, and they are that naturo pharm brand. They were fantastic!!! I swear by them, I really do! Within a day my milk was awesome again and then she was spluttering and getting too much lol With the pills, you just suck on 2 of them 3 times a day! Easy as  ------------- |

Thanks for the replys, I had totally forgotten about the lactation cookies! I made up a batch last night an have been chowing through them. I have slightly more milk today, but it could be much better. I dont think she has a infection, although she does play with one ear while in bed!? Sheza- I think im going to get some of those pills, im sick of being bitten and fussing! -------------
