Hi there
Looking at purchasing a Mocka High Chair. Any recommendations - positive or negative? If not Mocka, what would you suggest and why? |

Which one? They have 2 I believe?
I wasn't sure which to get but got the wooden one because it had a weight limit of 60kg (I could easily sit on/it it myself if I really wanted too lol!), totally adjustable to suit the child (seat and foot rest heights, oh and the tray!), it's fairly easy to clean, not too heavy to lift and move round... But DD has to have some padding round her because she's still a bit small to sit properly in it. I did look at their basic plastic one and really loved it, imo it would have been so much easier to clean but it wasn't as solid as the wooden one (in my opinion) and I loved how adjustable the wooden one was. Thanks heaps! Sorry, should have clarified that am looking at the wooden high chair with the tray.
We have quite a small kitchen so looking for something that is accessible and won't take up too much room. And easy to move too. |

We just place ours round the dining table so she eats with us! Takes up next to no space.
You could easily put casters on it, I just push/pull ours along the carpet with no hassle. We have a ridiculously small kitchen too! But we keep ours in the lounge/dining room rather than the kitchen as it simply wouldn't fit! ------------- http://lilypie.com">

we have the wooden one and find it great! the padded inserts do get mucky but you can ditch them if you want, or we just put a tea towel over the top to protect. we first had the white designer one delivered but did not like it in real life and takes up so much room cause the legs splay out really wide ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Yip I'm happy with our wooden Mocka too.
Its great that its adjustable over such a wide range of heights. I didn't get the harness as DD hates being strapped into any highchair but we are now fighting with her towards the end of any meal to keep her sitting down (she thinks she is really smart standing up in there!) but that problem isn't anything to do with the actual highchair just DD

We have ordered the wooden Mocka highchair, havnt tried it out yet, but chose it cos it looks sturdy and easy to clean! -------------

Hi, Yes I do have it on the smallest setting. : (
I find it really annoying as everytime he eats food like rolled oats or something mashy it ends up all over his trousers where the bibs don't cover. I often have to change him again if we are going out as he looks a mess!!! |

I stuff a towel or blanket down the Back of Lily so she is right forward in the seat and her body is up to the tray so she doesn't get food down her front! ------------- http://lilypie.com">

We love our wooden Mocka! It's now a chair at the table - perfect height!
With regards to food falling down the front, I just used those bibs with the catchy bowl thing or an old school nappy on her lap. She sends food everywhere anyway  ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Thanks for those last couple of ideas. Have just read them now. Will try the towel at the back and also be more disciplined about putting a cloth nappy over his lap.
