My DD has started doing mini poos at every feed/change. I change her straight away but she has now got a red bum, and its right up her bum crack at the back. It is just red and only where her poo has been. She gets lots of nappy off time. Im in cloth nappies, I use a muslin wipe and water to clean her. I have some sudocream, should I use it? She doesnt seem bothered by it at this stage. Any idea's would be great. Thanks

I use Tui Balm when that happens, you can get it at pharmacies and health food shops and it lasts AGES. Make sure you use a liner on your nappies though

I found sudocream fantastic and still use it even though my DS doesn't have a nappy rash anymore. Give it a go!

I agree with the Tui Bee Balme recommendation, although strictly speaking you don't *have* to use a liner with it and cloth nappies, as it doesn't have zinc in it and that's what causes trouble with nappy absorbency. I have to say though, I found Sudocreme good too, and sometimes use a couple of disposables just so I can smother DD2's bum in it and knock any rash on the head. To me it sounds like regular old nappy rash, thrush usually = spots.

Thanks for the replys, i have tried the sudocream and its not as red as it was. im using cloth liners but will strip them down once its cleared up. I think it may be caused by me eating saveloys! Its the only new thing that i have eaten. I will stear clear for a while and see what happens.

If you're using sudocrem, don't wash the liners with the nappies because it gets all over the nappies in the wash
