My little girl woke up at 1.30am this morning for a feed, she had done a big sticky poo. She then woke up at 5.30am, and again a poo, only just a small one. Then at 6.30am when she wouldnt go to sleep, another small one. Then at 9am, small poo, 11.30, small poo and now 1.30pm, small poo.

The first one was a sticky one as she hadnt gone for a couple of days, and the rest are like a baby that goes every day. This is totally not like her, and she is starting to get a sore bum. She is happy, feeding well, peeing like normal. Is this normal? Im figuring she is just clearing out her bowels.... but 6 in a row????

DS went through a phase for about 2 weeks at 5months old where every nappy was a pooey one. Most of them were like you have described, just small ones so I didn't get too concerned about it. My plunket nurse wasn't worried either.

Yeah - DS certainly likes change the 'schedule' every so often.
If it looks watery or mucusy or just not usual, might pay to see a dr (or ring healthline - they are just the best) Keep an eye on her fluids as little bubs get dehydrated so easily - if there is plenty coming out there must be plenty going in!

My mw said "As she gets older she'll poo less" and up until about 2.5 months DD was pooing 6 times a day then she cut it to once a day and them at 3 months it was once every 2nd or 3rd day then all of a sudden it was almost every nappy change at about 4 months! She had gone back to the once every 2nd or 3rd day by 5 months and we recently started solids so now it's every nappy change - every 3rd nappy change

It's completely normal though. But like LS said, if it's watery/mucusy or foamy looking or really stinky or a funny colour maybe ring healthline just to be certain.

Hehe that takes me back. I remember my little guy's bowel habits changing loads in the early days!

If it's super watery then I'd be worried, but as long as the bowels are moving then yay. Whenever we had teething time (even at 4-5 months old when the teeth were simply moving around under the gums) that would often cause some rather interesting nappies!!
