I have Jake on a couple of creche waiting lists but I really want to get him in somewhere a couple of mornings a week before the baby is born.

I dont need to put him in but I thought it would be nice to have some one on one time with the baby and possibly catch up on some sleep!

All the daycares I have looked at only seem to do 5-6 hours as part time hours. Does anyone know of somewhere on the shore that will do 3 hours a few times a week?

Otherwise I guess I will look at an in home carer but its not really what I want, I like the idea of him being in a large group with different activities.

No help here but I wanted to say that my DD is in inhome care and they do lots of external activities- playgroup, mainly music, visits to Western Springs etc and they are really flexible with hours etc.

There are community creches all over the Shore that are very affordable but you do have to do some parent help hours. Just google it and they will come up. I know there's one in Birkenhead but others as well.

Yeah I already have him on the waiting lists for the creches...

Jano I know inhome care do all that but I would prefer him to be in a larger group iygwim... though at this stage it will be the likely option...

sorry the only places I know that do 1/2 days are preschools (for 2 or 3+).

Do you know how long the waiting list is normally for the creches on the Shore (just trying to figure out when I should put Toms name down for later next year)?
