I am off to buy a cake mixer this weekend (food processor just doesnt cut it any more) but dont really know which brand I should get. My only must have is it must come with metal tool attachments.

Im willing to spend up to $400 so tell me what you like and dislike about yours and how much it cost.

TIA

I was going to recommend one of http://www.millyskitchen.co.nz/millyskitchen/index.cfm?C99C09E7-A6C3-25E4-4F0B-27E2E520B9CF&pde_uuid=B46CEF4D-E018-8BD1-3253-2A43E2DA3902 - these , purely because I love the variety, but then I saw the price

If I had the dollars I'd go for Kenwood I'm kicking myself for letting my mums one get given away. It was still going strong after over 30 years of use.

They're nice and solid and awesome for making cakes / pavs etc.

I have my Nana's Kenwood, all its needed in it ahhh very long life has been a new bowl, which my nana replaced as she broke the one it came with. My nana died in 1989 and she got it in the early 70's according to my mum. So i'd go with a kenwood as they really do last.
