So recently, maybe the last couple of weeks dd as started waking at exactly an hour after I put her down for the night and she is crying/screaming.

She never screams or cries ever, but it's always an hour after her bedtime sleep that she does this.

Is it a phase?

Nothing in her routine has changed, she isn't cold, hungry, dirty/wet nappy, etc. She has a bath and feed about 6-6.30 and goes down about 6.30-7pm. But always after exactly an hour.

Is she waking herself trying to roll over? Or any sign of teeth? Cooper was doing the frequent wake up thing recently until his teeth popped through.

It could be teeth as she has about 4 that are visible but haven't come through yet.

Don't think she's trying to roll, she's usually just lying flat on her back (she's swaddled) and getting quite hysterical.

I did wonder bout teeth, just she never does it at any other time, just when she goes down for the night so always around 7.30-8pm.

DD has woken at exactly the same time the last two nights (1:30am!) It's a screaming cry too, it's the same cry she did when her other teeth were coming through. Have given her Pamol the last couple of nights and she settles soon after. Even though her next teeth aren't coming through just yet they do move around, so it's what I'm putting it down to.
Although whenever I can't find any other reason why she's waking I always say teething

Could be wind?

Nah not wind, we get awesome burps after a feed, I think it's teething, I can see her bottom right tooth which hasn't broken through, but her two top teeth and bottom left are still moving, Pamol settles her last week but don't want to over do it or the bonjela really.

What about the naturopharm teething spray? Maybe a couple of sprays of that before bed and see if that makes the difference.

We had another crazy night last night after a week of only one wake up since teeth made their appearance. I wonder if the next lot are already on their way

Hi LilNic, lachie used to do the same - for about 5 months, after he had been sleeping through 7-7 for a couple of months, he used to wake screaming at 7:45 on the dot - you could set your watch by it, eventually we found that we were better to leave him usually, he would cry for a minute or 2 and go back to sleep. We never did work out why he was doing it but it was an ear splitting scream.
Hope she gets through it soon.

Jayden was doing that and we got him up and let him play in his jolly jumper for an hour or so. On another front I have to say OH my gosh about Lily's teeth - Jayden has 0 - nada, zilch, nothing - none even showing like they are going to come through anytime soon

Yup some nights she will go back down but others she won't so I often give her a quick feed or a cuddle and put the mobile on and she's out to it. I did think if it was teeth she might wake more often rather than just once.

Our doc pointed out the teeth to us!

ds went through exactly that at the same age, it lasted about 2 or 3 weeks I think, I thought maybe it was him waking up and being upset that we weren't there, we would go in and pat him and he would go back off to sleep.

I'm sure it will pass soon

Hopefully, although she hasn't done it tonight...

I don't think it's her waking up and us not there as she's been in her own room for ages now and is pretty used to us not being there.

I did wonder if it's the light then suddenly dark, like transition between her naps? E.G She wakes up and it's light but when she goes to bed again it's dark (although we do have a night light in her room but that's so I can see when I go in to feed her during the night)
