OK so Adele is usually a great sleeper - definatly alot better then the boys!
our days are usually like this
8-8.30am wake, feed if in bed she will fall back asleep (otherwise nappy change, playtime another feed back in bed around 9.30)
10.30/11.30am feed, nappy change or 2!, playtime etc
feed around 1pm take boys to preschool 9/10 she will fall asleep in the pram
1.15pm transferred from pram to bed
3.30pm wakes, feed, nappy change, playtime etc
7.30/8pm another feed, usually another nappy change at this point. bed
8.30/9pm shes up again. another feed if hungry, check nappy etc and at this time she is wide awake and we struggle getting her back to be before 10.30/11pm
4/5.30am brought to my bed for a feed, usually straight back to sleep
this happens every night no matter what time we put her down she is up 8.30/9 every time even if she was only put down at 8!
how can I get her to stop that?
Id love to have a routine but like I say no matter what time she goes down in the evening she will wake at the 8.30/9pm mark and stay awake
suggestions please
sorry for the novel! I hope someone understands what Im going on about!

Have you tried starting her day a bit earlier Trish? We start Hunters day at around 6.30 - 7am and find that he is sleeping for around 12 hours. If we put him to bed later, he wakes later.

Could you maybe try feeding her at 6/6.30pm? Our routine for DS a few weeks ago was:
7.30am - Up & feed
9am - Sleep
11am - Feed
1230pm - Sleep
3pm - Feed
4pm - 45 min nap if grumpy or if has slept badly during day
5.30pm - Bath
6.00pm - Feed & book
6.45pm latest - Bed
DS sometimes wakes briefly anytime around 8-10pm sometimes and if we leave him for around 10 mins he goes back to sleep - how long do you leave it before you go in?
ETA - Our DS sleeping patterns changed alot at 5 months - he went from sleeping through to waking up to 8 times! We had a similar issue at 2am - he would wake and would be wide awake for up to 2 hours. I'm not sure if it was the fact that we left him to grizzle longer or that he has changed his sleeping patterns on his own, but he has stopped doing that now thankfully.

How do you treat the feed at 8.30pm? Do you get her up and into a lit room? I think I treated every feed after bedtime as a night feed, so dim lights, no talking etc so DD didn't think it was time to play.
Big hugs, makes for a long day for you

I usually bring her into the lounge as the boys are sharing a room with her atm since its winter and we only have a fan/wall heater in the lounge and a oil heater in her room.
I feed her at 7.30pm and put her down about 7.50pm. so far she is still asleep but I wouldn't put it past her to wake soon!
yes its is a very long day. especially on a bad day when Aidan is up once or twice in the night too

Could you feed her in your bedroom, snuggle under the blankets and keep the room quiet and dim like it is the middle of the night?

When do you bath her? Just a thought but we bathed Lily in the mornings and she would always be playful at night and be a pita to get down! At 11ish weeks we made a routine where we would bath her before bed, used to be 7.30 we would bath her but now it is 6-6.30 and she will have a story and feed after and then goes down for the night.
Then again every baby is different, and although Lily goes down great she still wakes 2-3 times during the night.
We also start the day about 7am. I found any later and we would have problems later.
And agree with TaliP.
Or are you able to move her into you and dh's room? Rather than room sharing?
Lily sleeps much better on her own but am guessing due to you room sharing there probably isn't that much room...

well she went down 7.50pm and woke at 12.30am thinking it was playtime and another feed - I fed her at 11pm. went back down at 3am then up at 7am.
can't have her in our room because our room is a ice box. she has the only heater in her room which is why the boys are in there. as there room is colder them my room.
she is bathed at different times but mostly at night before bed, she has a bath, feed then bed.

We had a similar problem here... DS would go down and then 1/2 an hour 45 mins later he would be wide awake and then wouldn't go down til 1030-11...
Thanks to one of the wonderful girls on here they gave me a copy of the sleep sense programme and it has really worked.. we started it last friday and have a really good night time routine now and then he goes into bed and stays there for the night.. the first night it took 50mins to resettle him when he woke at that mark, then 45 mins the next night, then 30mins the next... then he just started grizzling for like 30 secs, then last night he slept 730-5 with no noise at all! I know that is not really going to work with the 3 being in the one room, but maybe worth borrowing a heater to heat the boys rooms for a week so you could try it?
