hey guys
we went and got groceries the other night, when we got home we didnt realise that the 1kg block of cheese we bought had fallen out of the bag and was on the floor of the car. DH found it in the morning and put it in the fridge. he said it was still cold...

will it still be ok to eat??? 1kg is a lot of cheese to throw out.....but i would rather throw it out than get sick off it if im likely to..

thanks

I'd still eat it, it's not warm weather so it wouldn't have gotten warm. That is not professional advice of course

Yup no worries. We had the same thing, fridge door was left open overnight and the cheese was not all that cold. Threw all the obvious perishables away but the cheese was fine.

I would still eat it, otherwise to me it'd be a waste. Even if the cheese starts yellowing round the edges I still eat it. And agree that it's cold.

But don't you just hate it when stuff falls out of the bag! Happens all the time here!

I might be a little cautious now I'm pregnant (you know, just in case and all), but when I wasn't, I wouldn't think twice about eating it. I've taken cheese tramping, and it's been a lot warmer for longer periods than yours has, and it was totally fine.

Most cheeses are meant to be eaten at room temperature anyway. Yum, I want cheese now.
