I am still wrapping/swaddling Ben and he is 1yr in a week. I have tried several times to stop wrapping him(cold turkey or gradually) and each time his naps drop down to 30mins each, after a week or 2 I get sick of this and start wrapping him again and they extend to 1/1.5hrs+. When he wakes from a nap he is still perfectly wrapped 99% of the time and hasn't even tried to get out of the wrap
So for those of you who have wrapped for an extended period of time, how did you stop and why did you stop? Did your baby indicated they were ready to stop and if so how? Or did you make the decision yourself? I am thinking to try again soon once his teeth cut and he is hopefully sleeping better

Funnily I've just started re-wrapping but only loosely in a blanket that goes under him & tucks over, DH did it & we discovered he sleeps better.
We started the unwrapping process with one arm out. I'm sure that was around the same age as your boy? Or maybe try wrapping it looser? Or maybe a pekemoe kinda thing?
