I am so tired. Alex has finally been sleeping through the night for the last week but I am so knackered. I am sleeping well (well I think so anyway) and am eating well and am doing some exercise each day. I have some iron tablets and I am going to start taking them again as I know when AF visits I take them as I feel the way I do now (she left a few days ago).
Thanks for any advice

Have you had B12 checked. I can have high iron and low B12 and feel like I need a nap half way through the day. I can tell mine is getting low now as its only 5pm and it feels more like 10

Have you had your iron checked to make sure your actually low in iron?
I only ask, cos my family has haemacromatosis (argh! spelling?) which is high iron, and you get the same symptoms with high as you do when you have low iron...

Could it be your body being able to feel tired now that you are catching up on sleep? I know when I get more sleep than I'm used to I feel tired for a while before I get used to it again.
Getting your levels check is a good idea too just to rule it out.

I keep joking that's what it is EsmesMum.
I shall go to the Doctor when DH is home from work in 2 weeks and get some blood taken as I have to get other exciting things done too.
Thanks for the input ladies much appreciated

I hate to say this but if it's not your iron (and it could well be), it could be a symptom of Post-Natal Depression. PND can be around in your baby's first 2yrs of life so just coz he's becoming a toddler doesn't mean it's not!
If you can rule out anything medical, I would look at other symptoms of PND to see if it's a possibility. One of the many symptoms is absolute exhaustion.

Go to the Doctors, get some tests done to see if you are lacking something.
Maybe a weekend away or a day off if possible.

lol Henna, if it's ongoing that is unlikely but if it's only been a week or so then that could be it.
GL at the Dr
