I am in the process of writing thank you letters to all the people that came to our wedding (albeit 4 months later, but better late then never right??) and am wanting to thank the kids for giving me all the bits and pieces that they did after the ceremony, e.g horseshoes and rolling pins and ribbons etc etc but I don't know what to call them collectively as I can't remember what each child gave me individually. (I got about 20 gifts).

Any ideas?

I am about halfway through my thank you cards too from my wedding in Feb. When searching for ideas of what to say on the internet i found this in regards to your question.. i remember cos then i wondered why i didnt get any! (probably cos we only had 6 kids there..)

there is a custom of people (usually children) greeting a just-married bride at the church door with silver horseshoes on ribbon. As well as horseshoes, there are rolling pins, wooden spoons, chimney sweeps, black cats, wishbones, boots, shoes, bells, etc. The collective name is lucky tokens.
