I tried DD in her sleeping bag a few months ago, but she woke in the night with it on.
I've got her in it tonight, but I'm not sure what sort of blanket she should have on top. She's wearing a singlet and a cotton onesie. She's usually fine with that, a sheet, a fleece blanket and a wool blanket (folded over so it's double). So I'm thinking the merino sleeping bag would be the equivalent of the wool blanket, so would she just need the fleece blanket on top? We have the heatpump going all night and an oil heater on low in her room. -------------

I have Lily in a merino singlet, a cotton body suit and a cotton grow suit and the she is in a cotton sleepbag, a cotton wrap swaddled, flannelette sheets, a aircell woolen blanket, a cotton quilt and a cotton blanket on top... So quite warm, she also has an oil heater that's on a timer going on and off hourly on too so her room is about 18 degrees (without the heater it gets to 11-13 degrees.

I've always found this a hard question. DS is hot blooded so he needs less layers than I would alone. (When DH is away for the night I have to add a double layer of fleece blanket to make up the difference.)
DS's room is kept at about 19 deg. He sleeps in a merino shirt, a cotton all-in-one, a merion kids sleeping bag, sometimes a cotton blanket. ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

Yeah, for Lily sometimes it's too hot so I take a couple of blankets off or don't put her in the sleep bag.
Other times she feels really cold! When she was in the room with DP and I it was 18 degrees but felt warmer iygwim so she was just swaddled with a woolen blanket on top and wore a cotten bodysuit or AIO and a cotton singlet and that was it but 18 degrees feels colder in her room for some reason!  ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I'm sure the room would be at least 18 most of the night as the heater comes on again at around 3am. She gets hot easily too which is why it's hard to work out if she needs any extra blankets. The sleep store website recommends what they should wear underneath, but nothing about extra blankets or anything. -------------

We had Cooper in a singlet and cotton onesie in a merino sleeping bag with merino wrap thingy over arms + doubled over wool blanket + polar fleecy blanket and heater on. But heater seems bung as room was still cold, I think only 11 degrees. So that is a big difference to your 18 degrees. I think it wasn't enough for us.
18 degrees is ideal according to the sleepstore and here's how many blankets they recommend for temperature. Room temp No of blankets 12 ⁰ 4 layers 14 ⁰ 3-4 layers 16 ⁰ 3 layers 18 ⁰ 2 layers 20 ⁰ 1-2 layers 22 ⁰ 1 layer 24 ⁰Sheet only So sounds like one other blanket on top should be about right. ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

Thanks for that Chelle. I ended up putting the sheet, a fleece blanket and another light fleece blanket on last night. She stirred around 1am and woke at 5:30, but went back to sleep. So I might try the wool blanket on her tonight.
I think it will be a case of trial and error until I find the right combination! I'll have to put the thermometer in her room too. It probably gets below 18 while the heater is off between 11pm and 2am. -------------

My DDs room is about 18-19 all night, she has on a thermal singlet, a skivy, a 2.5 tog or winter weight gogo bag, then a light/med wool blanket on top. She sleeps through with all this on no prob and has never gotten a cold yet.
