Do you have a login on line, that is how I keep an eye on all my tax stuff. I am waiting to see if we get anything back this yr
If you get WFF it is not done till July/Aug, I think.

I put mine in April and got payment by the end of April - I think I waited maybe 2 or 3 weeks. They do say that sometimes it will be July before payment.

Do you get WFF? That has always been the reason for delays on mine as they don't do them till later.

We dont get wff - and the claim for the year ending 2010 was done in 4 weeks - but I didnt realise I was entitled to claim for the year before and its taking ages - compared to that one - i expect its cause they are busy??
This is for the childcare tax credit - we dont have an online login no - and when I phoned about 3 weeks ago they said nothing would show til it had been processed anyway so I didnt bother setting it up
I guess I can just phone again but apparently they cant even say if they have recieved the application or how far away it is until its bascially about to be paid out
Just hoping for lifeline really - certainly wont make it til pay day this month!

no we don't get WFF either - don't qualify - wish we did! I would say because you are claiming for a yr prior to the current one that it would be taking a while.
I'm actually still waiting for my personal tax summary but they said they don't send them in until July so fx they do.

I have got my personal tax summary - seems to be a bit random at what they do first!
We will qualify for a little WWF payout when our baby arrives but Im a bit reluctant to claim - my husband was made redundant and we qualified for 8 weeks - now we have to pay it all back!!
We are going to over estimate though so hopefully we wont have to do that again

Id ring them. I was owed alot for a tax refund and when I rung IRD they said there was some kind of error on my account. It still took them another month but if I hadnt phoned I would still be waiting. It was for the 09 year too.

Hi Raspberryjam
Happy to send you some nappies (no cost) if you want to PM me your address. Have a big box and we only use one a night as my boys are in cloth during the day.
Cheers
Amanda

What a day! Honestly if you dont already something from a government agency you get nothing!
WINZ wouldnt even consider us - so neither would other government funded agencies - unbelievable - I will not just throw a few bucks in the bucket for any old charity again
I must say I am grateful this is a one off for us - really is quite stressful wondering how to feed your family - but we did find someone to help us out eventually

Glad you got things sorted

I didn't know about the childcare claim so just googled it - so can you claim 33% of your childcare costs or up to $310 (whichever is lower) for the tax year?
If, for example, Mum was looking after bubs, if she charges me and I get a reciept can I claim that cost? Or is it only for "approved" childcare providers?

I didnt know til this year either - certainly dont advertise it do they!
yes to max of $310.00 and i coudnt find anywhere that it had to be approved childcare - but recipets had to be provided and thats all
