Does anyone know of some great family friendly accommodation in Auckland.
My sister is coming to NZ with her family of 5 and they are looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of days. They don't want to be in the city, but in a nice relaxed setting. Any ideas? Thanks ------------- http://lilypie.com">

The best option might be something like a serviced apartment, but most of those tend to be in the city. You could look at something like this - http://www.emerald-inn.co.nz/index.html - http://www.emerald-inn.co.nz/index.html in Takapuna. I guess its going to be hugely dependant on budget. If budget isnt too much of a worry and the are happy to be in the city, then Heritage (the apartments) and Quay West are prob the better choices.

DH and I stayed at the Top 10 Holiday park in Takapuna/Northcote they have self-catering apartments and motel type rooms. Have a look on the holiday homes websites. There are some great places on them and some are really well priced.
