Since our DS was born(4weeks ago) our DD(21months) has been waking up during the night screaming. She will not settle even if one of us goes in and tries. She screams for about an hour give or take then goes back to sleep, She has since started screaming when I put her down for her day nap also. Sometimes she sleeps but sometimes she doesn't but on those days I just go in and give her some toys and leave her to have quiet time for and hour or so. What can I do to fix this? Somedays I just need a break while they sleep. Anyone else experienced this and what did you do. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I haven't experienced this since we have a large age gap between our 2 girls.
I understand about the need to get a break so I would suggest that if you know that she is safe then keep doing what you are doing and try to tune her out. So hard I know. I listened to DD#1 cry for half an hour before each of her daytime sleeps for about 5-6 months. All the best and big hugs. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Big hugs, I can understand how precious that time is when they are both sleeping so you can rest a little!!
Unfortunately I dont have any advice but hopefully this post will bump this thread up and someone who has experienced this will pop by to help xx -------------
