I haven't had AF back yet (stopped BF about 2 months ago) and I've had loads of EWCM for about a month - most days, so I thought I'd use an OPK as I had heaps leftover and I got a positive result. But that seems a little weird if I've had EWCM for so long. As I was thinking maybe I was having an annovulatory cycle and would eventually get AF.
So anyway, my question is, do OPK's work properly 5 months after giving birth or would my hormones still be out of whack?
We're not TTC at the moment either, just trying to work out my cycles really.

I think if you get af back prior to 6 months post baby the first af is typically annovulatory... post 6 months often ov before the first af ... I had quite a long time when it felt like af was on it's way (or I was UTD again) before my first af... lots of patches of cm is often a sign of annovulation from what I understand... but sorry dunno about the OPK

I got my first AF back when Jae was only 4 months old (4 days after I stopped expressing, I felt so ripped off!), and ov test came up +ve a couple of weeks later... so it was within the 5 month mark
It could be that you have managed to catch the first ovulation post-birth...
