Hiya, im new to this whole baby thing and have a question that I hope someone can help me with.

My little girl has got this thing in the creases of her legs, right where the nappy goes. It is like when you have your toes in water too long and they split- it has done the same in the creases. I have been putting her in the sun during the day when we have nappy off time, and im wiping it gently and keeping it as dry as I can. Is this nappy rash? or something else that someone can shed some light on for me? Thanks

My DD gets that and its related to her ezcema. I have to put barrier cream on there too.

It's not nappy rash, the mw said it's sort of like chafing Lily gets it on her thighs too!

could be thrush too

I would just show your midwife - sounds like she need some micreme and a touch of hydrocortisone
I would use vaseline in those creases once its healed

Janina had this 'chafing' too and all that is usually necessary is washing it twice a day and drying it very well. Some nappy rash (sudocreme, weleda etc) afterwards. It's caused because of the moisture in the creases and that skin never gets to see the light!
If it doesn't get better with that after a couple of days let your MW have a look at it but it really just sounds like some ouchy chafing!
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, I will get my MW to have a look tomorrow. Its not that bad at the moment, I think I have caught it early, and im keeping it as dry as I can and having lots of nappy off time.
