I read that I'm supposed to take my temp at the same time each morning, after a good 'block' of sleep.

Thing is, my morning just don't go like that.

Get out of bed time is 5:45am. Usually I'm up at least once sometime between 3am & 5am. And even if DS sleeps through, I now wake up out of habit.

What do I do? Just take my temp at 5:45 and hope it's good enough?

I would take it before you get up between 3 and 5... I am assuming that is after a longer sleep... I think it's more important to have had a solid 3 hours than to take it at the same time each day

Nope....those mums who have little ones will take their temp a few times a night if necessary then use the temp which followed a 3hr block of sleep (or the nearest thing to that). Shift workers have the same problem

So if your DS wakes, take your temp then see to him...if you have a BBT it will remember your temp when you next switch it on.
Hope that helps

He's at the stage where DS wakes us up about every other night, and then we don't go to him unless he makes noise for more than a minute (which is even less often).
So, taking temp when I first wake will be ok.
May even get to making him wait 2 minutes

I don't notice much difference in temp between 2 or 3 hours sleep - I'm often up too.. so yeah just take it whenever ya wake up and see how ya go... Good luck for waiting 2 mins
