I have a lurking cold - I probably just need a couple of good nights sleep, but how do you do that when you are pregnant?!?!?!?
I asked my midwife about taking echinacea because i have previously (when not preg) and it helped. She wasn't sure and told me to find a health shop that has a herbalist and ask them.
Anyone done any research on this or is a herbalist and can help me?!?!?!
I'm going to get myself some Vit C and garlic pills tomorrow but a bit weary about the garlic - i've only just started eating it in food again in the past couple of weeks cause pregnant belly did not like!!
Any other tips are most welcome. SO OVER THIS!

I'm not 100% on the answer for this, but I'll be watching with interest.
I had a glass of orange juice the other day (at a family member's house) and saw the label on the bottle afterwards saying the juice was "fortified with Vitamin C and Echinacea".
Something rang a bell in my head, so I read on and the label also says "Not reccomended for pregnant or lactating women"
It was only .05% of the total drink, but still.
I'm not game enough to Google it

Gah - I just had to google it because I've been taking it.
Most of what I found said "Not recommended for use in pregnancy". Guess I better look at alternatives too!
