I have a 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old sharing a bedroom and my plan is to have the 1 year old into a bed by about 16 months (so the next one can have the cot ). The girls are very friendly so I am expecting a lot of movement in those first few days of "freedom"

Any helpful advice for the changeover from you others who have children room-sharing? Thanks!

My daughter (18 mths) is in a cot but we are in the process of finding a BIG bed for her as my sister is pregnant with her 2nd and the cot is hers (was lent to us when I had our daughter). And we are moving in 4 weeks time that we thought it would be good to have a bed and not to have dismantle and re-assemble a cot.

We'll be going through the same thing but in a year or two... from what I have read and heard, you should be heaping loads of praise on the 'big girls' that can stay in their beds all night. Also having a good tuck-in routine at bed time. Good luck and remember to post what works - I'm looking forward to hearing your advice when it's our turn!!!
