sudocream on wool carpet! Help! We are renting this place and I am hoping someone has a magic recipie for getting sudocream out of the carpet after DS finger painting this morning.

I have tried scraping it off with a knife, and tried warm water and a sponge and its not working!!!

Mentioned this to dh (was waiting for him to get home) after a very long explanation as to why which i can ask him to repeat if you would like to know but he said water wont do it but something like turps would, you need to do a patch test on the carpet though to make sure it doesnt remove the colour. Hope that helps

Thats what he said just a little bit. He does a lot of chem and physics at uni. But please make sure it wont wreck the carpet first.

I would try hot water first before anything else (like boiling water from the jug).

Most oily products will be loosened with boiling water, so it's best to try that before attempting any other remedies (that's what you use to loosen up chocolate etc on clothes).
