so we are recovering from major jet lag after flying from Wellington to the UK on wednesday (32 hour trip), DS 7,5months has not adjusted well the the time difference despite all my best efforts to get him into his usual routine..

last night he woke and vomitted, and has had diarreah and more vommitting throughout the day. Hes very lathargic and wont eat any solids or drink breastmilk. he is taking small sips of warm water

I have managed to get some pamol in and he kept that down fine. he is very warm still but not as feverish.

I am very worried about him, can anyone suggest what i should be doing and at what stage do i take him to the doctors. Hes been poorly for going on 16 hours and has missed 3 meals.

Its a stressfull time as we are staying with friends and i am home alone with no car for the time being.

Thanks for the support and suggestions.

Call an ambulance if you can't get access to a car to take him to the doctors immediately. If he has missed that many feeds, and is only taking sips of warm water, he may very well be dehydrated as well (especially after having diarrhoea and vomiting). That will increase the lethargy also.

Take him to the hospital now!!!! (I assume you don't have an NHS dr where you are staying?) Hopefully it's just a bug he's caught on the plane but better to get him seen straight away.

Yep take him to the Dr/hospital right now, just to be on the safe side as he is probably dehydrated now and will need fluids.
Poor bubba and mum! I hope he feels better soon!

Hope you managed to get into see a Dr, and your wee boy is feeling much better! Nothing worse than seeing your little one struggling.

Good Luck! xx
