I don't know where to put this, but it is kind of a post-pregnancy thing.
I am kinda pissed off that I have my AF back already, at just over three months as I'm exclusively breastfeeding, but however!
I am extreme bleeding, like soaking through a super tampon, super pads, even nappies that I have put in there. This is every 20 mins - half an hour
It was the same last time after I had Sam, and unfortunately I was at a wedding that time, so at least I'm at home now.
Can this be normal? I feel so drained, exhausted and not to mention gross and dirty.
I can't afford to see a GP this weekend, so the earliest would be monday when I can make an appointment with my usual GP, and that would be a whole lot cheaper than the $70 it costs to see an accident/emergency doctor.
I don't know what to do with myself, and if I don't sort it out every half hour, I would be covered!
can anyone offer any advice!

oh you poor thing! What did the doc say last time it happened?
If it gets too bad, can you go to your local hospital? where it would be free? sounds like your losing alot of blood and that cant be good

Wasn't that bad for me, but if it was like this after your first baby, maybe your body thinks it's normal for you. What did your Dr say last time?
Hope you've got a DP to help out over the weekend. Rest and fluids may help you feel a little better.
You could also give healthline a call (0800 611 116), they'll help you assess if it needs urgent action.

I didn't end up going to see a doc last time, as by the time we got home from the wedding and everything it sort of started to subside. I really should have seen one, but after talking to a nurse, she said if it went on for more than a few days I should go and see a doctor.
I could go to the hospital. My DP works all weekend and with two small kids and no car I don't really know what to do.
Have a dinner party tonight and don't really want to cancel because I'm bleeding.

Have you got family that could help?
Is it just blood or clots?

Just really bright red blood and a few smallish clots.
I have a little bit of cramping but nothing really major.
My mum is here at the moment helping me with the kids. I am so happy she is here! She doesn't drive either.

Sorry Renee I have no advice re bleeding but do you have any iron tablets you could take? I have found that each AF since Alex I feel drained and ended up getting some iron at one stage as I wondered if that would help and it did. Hope things ease off for you as I so totally understand what your going through.

Aww chick that sounds horrible! If last time it stopped after a day maybe it might happen this time and you might be able to go out :( fingers crossed it eases up for you.

I think it might be starting to ease, but showering and nurofen certainly helped!
I'm not going anywhere, we have people coming here for dinner! Least it's my house and I don't have to use someone elses bathroom!
