I cried lots too! I find it so hard to watch or read anything about sick children.
I did not get to see what happened that helped the prem baby survive??? Can anyone tell me, please.

Kangaroo care - there are plenty of documented cases of this happening actually, like http://www.drmomma.org/2009/08/mothers-last-skin-to-skin-goodbye-saves.html - this story for example.
As a semi related aside, is there anything hotter than a (hot) shirtless guy cuddling a newborn baby? Anybody?

Yeah I cried too For the little boy mainly. Having been through NICU, the whole prem baby thing was just too unrealistic for me to get all emotional about lol!

I thought that might have been the case re the kangaroo care, but thought something else might have been said in regards to the stroke etc.
Totally agree the hot shirtless guy was the highlight for me for sure!

Yeah a bit unrealistic KH25, theres way too much openess to a neonatal room. like the babies arent even in incubators or anything.....but it still warmed my heart to see (albeit ficticous(sp) baby survive
Yes very HOT!!!!

I've been avoiding this thread like the plague all morning, only JUST finished watching Greys on demand.
It was so sad seeing that wee boy die. I'd imagine in real life, for a doctor to loose a patient they'd been treating for that long, it would be so so hard!
Nice about the wee baby, although it was a bit un realistic with the room etc, was still lovely to see!!

So with you there, with or without the baby, just him is enough.

I'm beginning to get a soft spot for the newest male doctor, too.
The one with the light blue eyes.
Hmm....
I think hospitals in NZ would benefit from a few more hot, young doctors.
