Just wondering what everyone does in terms of childproofing when they're staying at someone's house for more than a few days with a baby/todder on the move and into everything? I guess it is easy to keep the door shut on laundry/bathrooms rather than remove all the dangerous things, but what about the rest of the house! I'm always torn between wanting to keep my child safe and not wanting to take over someone elses house entirely.
Would love to hear what other people do :)

How long will you be staying for? We'll be alternating betwen my ILs and my sisters house soon for a total of 7 weeks. The only request I've put in is that they put a stair gate at the top of the stairs.
For everything else I'll keep any eye on them and hope that they learn quickly.
I do know that MIL will be clearing her hallway table of crystal

Only away for a week or so, which is nothing compared to 7 weeks lol! DD is 13months so probably guess just need to keep an eye on things like you say.

I would probably just make sure that any breakables are moved out of reach and then just try and keep an eye on your DD.
My parents haven't baby proofed their house at all and although we don't stay with them since they live close, we do visit alot. Mum said that Jack would have to learn that there are things he can and cannot touch and that not everywhere he goes will be babyproofed, and I suppose I agree with her. We have never had any problems there
