Ty was swaddled til he was about 8 months I got him out of the swaddle by using a Pekemoe.
He loves it, but is super tall and won't fit in it for much longer. So, how do I go about getting him out of the Pekemoe, but keeping him warm enough? Every time I check him he is sleeping in a diff part of the cot, he lies in every direction possible! I can't just put him in his pjs and tuck him in with a sheet and a couple of blankets, I'd love to, but he wouldn't stay under them for more than a few seconds

Why not just move him to the next size up sleeping bag. I am assuming a pekemoe is a sleeping bag brand. Forgive me if it is not but it still might be an option. My boy is 19months and is still using a sleeping bag.

I know what a Peke Mo is - like a sleeping bag with hands?
I would just start using a normal sleeping bag and swaddle with a muslin cloth over the top for a few nights to transition.

Yep what she said. You might not even need to swaddle him now. Try leaving the Peke Moe in the cot as a cuddly that might suffice.

Might have to check out those Pekemoe's when I'm ready to get Cooper out of his swaddle

I agree with the others, just buy a grobag sleeping bag & try him just in that without any swaddle & see how he goes.
If he won't settle then do a loose swaddle with a muslin wrap over his arms for a few days until he gets used to just the sleeping bag.
My baby took about a week using the above system to totally transition from full tight swaddling to a grobag sleeping bag.
Good luck!

I agree with Mrs B I would start by doing naps without the Peke Moe on but with him able to 'snuggle' with it... then progress to nights without it.
Tyde was in his till about 15/16months and it was unzipped, then we just stopped using it and he snuggled with it till I got him his own blanket that he has on him :) glad it has been helpful..
I think until Tyde went into the big bed he would sleep in lots of different positions in his cot, but once he went into the big bed he ended up staying in a more 'normal position' :)

He isn't in his Pekemoe for his day sleeps, it's more the warmth overnight I'm worried about so I will buy a grobag, thanks ladies!!
Chelle, definitely check them out! They're like a magic bag hehe Ty absolutely loves them and sleeps from 7-7.30pm until at least 9am sometimes 10am!

Ro see, yep It was such a great way to keep them covered. Some parents do prefe to keep them in the Peke Moe as they feel more comfortable with the Peke Moe rather than loose blankets. We make an extra large by order as well when requested! :)

Rose, I put Campbell into a normal sleeping bag in December, and he transitioned with no problems whatsoever. Hopefully Ty does the same!
