Just wondering what you would consider walking? DS is taking at most 8 steps at a time, and if he is standing up he will walk till he falls and then crawl to where he was going... but not sure if i consider it as walking. When does everyone else consider there bubbas as walking?

I would consider that walking if he was taking the steps unaided

when i took Cory for his 8mth check..because he was walking across the room holding onto just a finger on each hand they classed that as walking.

BUT i consider walking unaided as walking.

I class walking as when they're walking more than crawling (the preferred mode of 'transport'). He'll be off in no time though!

One or two steps I consider "Steps" but once they can string a few together and cover some distance (eg a couple of metres) then I call that walking!

Oh gosh... thanks... i guess i do have a walker then. He is certainly doing it un-aided. he certainly is trying to walk before crawling. Im in trouble now! hehe

yep i considered Tessa walking when she did 8 steps, didn't take too long after that that she was walking all the time, now she just about runs.

Crikey, Campbell did 8 steps today, that must mean he's "walking" too! Woo hoo, go Angus!

We consider walking when they start taking more than around 5 steps unaided - Amelie can go about 5 metres now before face planting.

I would say you definitely have a walker!
