This may be a bit of a graphic question but here goes...how long do you have to wait after sex before you can go to the toilet???? (so that you dont get rid of all the much wanted spermies!!!????)

lol lol. I dunno. I used to put my legs up on the wall above the headboard for half an hour to direct them the right way. lol lol. I presumes once your up and walking around its pretty much okay to go to the toilet anyway.

I agree with the other girls and would leave it in for around 30 minutes before getting up and going to the toilet

wow adventurus!!!!! how do you manage that??? we tried over the weekend (sorry if tmi) dh went and put on a disney princess dvd for her to watch (which she is normally glued to) but i swear she has a sixth sense....
hmm, not sure what to do in that situation, maybe just pee before hand, then - icky undies - for an hour or so, or wear a liner.. hmmmm
wait, i have got it! my advise is to make hubby look after bailey, and then you stay in bed! taa daa problem solved!

But make sure its not to high otherwise the sperms collect just outside the cervix making them useless
|

Date Posted: 17 July 2006 at 4:39pm
lol!!! just wanna get in all my chances by doing it morning and night
Luckily i have a lax son that usually sleeps till about 8.30am so if i wake hubby up (he likes being woken up like that..SORRY SOOO TMI!!!! LOL) before he goes to work at 7.00am then we get the deed done and Bay is non the wiser!!!lol
I did actually lay in bed for 2 hours this morning cos i didnt know whether i was able to get up!!!! (incase i wasted the goods!!)
Xanthes mum - unfortunatly hubby has to go to work straight after (might i say happier than usual!!) so like you, hubby turns the tv onto Disney before he leaves and once Bay has woken up he can head down stairs and watch until im safe to rise (gosh that sound so bad!!).
Paws - LOL iv never fallen asleep in that position!! after half hour my legs feel like they are about to fall off!!! hehehe

Baysmum, ur legs up the wall should be fine its just when you overtilt the hips the sperm can collect behind the lip of the cervix or something which can stop it going anywhere, i just used one pillow and lay on my tummy
|
Posted By: BaAsKa
Date Posted: 17 July 2006 at 7:25pm
I never did the leg thing with my son and i went toilet straight afterwards too and he still managed to make it!!!! but i had been told to do this by a few friends who said it worked a treat for them!!
Roksana, there cant be anything that is too TMI for this post now!! LMAO
Its good though..theres no point in being shy!! lol!!

I try to hang on as long as I can but I have heard that its good to pee 20 mins after DTD so that you dont get a UTI how accurate that Info is I have no idea, but when you gotta go you gotta go.....

i usually go pretty much straight away, (after a cuddle of course ) and i got pregnant both times within the first week of trying so don't know how much difference it really makes.
having said that, i know nothing at all about this sort of thing and i'm in no way bragging!

I get what you mean about the sentence that you...couldnt finish!! lol i totally agree lol!!!
Your right too - holding it does cause UTI but if you are TTC then its a risk you have to take! lol
How are you finding the clomiphene???

lol, funny topic, but is a serious one too! we tried for about 18 months to get pregnant with my first and the month i concieved her (it might not of been after this certain time) but once i layed in bed with my legs up the wall too!!! must of been a funny sight.
the second time i concieved was a BIG suprise wasnt planned but we werent doing anything to prevent it, i got up and ran to the toilet straight after to try to "squeeze" it out but i guess it was too late! lol, but im pleased it was i love my second daughter to bits! and this 3rd time there were two possible times, once i got up and peed straight away cause i needed to, and the other time i waited snuggling for a few minutes!!!! i reckon my hubby must have good swimmers now, because the last two times were unexpected especially after it took so long to get pregnant with our first.

Hey Amber....you are right ...no one is holding back are they?....LOL
I was gonna say that my hubby's little fellas must be good swimmers........
We only tried for 4 months and I was pregnant....and this is not to say that we were trying every night...and I went to the loo (after a cuddle) each time.....

LOL Roksana... I'm only hassling Nat so much because initially we thought Xavier was conceived during a weekend I'd forgotten to bring my pills with me on a last minute trip away... when I went for my first 20 week scan we found out I was due a month later than we thought, which means Xavier was conceived during a time when I was fully dosed up! Therefore: it's all Nat's fault! Hehehehe...

lol at least you guys dont have a hubby that goes around calling himself the inseminator, last night he was musing on the value of giving up his job and just selling spermies to turkey basting lesbians......
on the subject of babys gender, i was trying to explain to him why i think it is a girl ( based on date of conception vs date of supposed ovulation, o'd a couple of days AFTER we ,umm, you know, and it is only the girl swimmers that live that long) and so he started saying if it is a boy then it is against all odds and he really IS THE INSEMINATOR! oh i give up! just because it only took 6 weeks of trying.... and the last one was through the pill.... thinks he is the bees knees. did i do nothing???

yeah nice to of concieved quickly the last times, this pregancy was a "meant to happen" because we were only going to try for 2months before saying that we'd stick with 2 and hubby get the chop. and it happened the first month....
and "charlie" is really unisex.... we have been told that we are having a girl, but i reckon she could be a boy so thought i'd be safe and stick with charlie! "she" if thats what bubs is wont actually be charlie, its just a name for while she's cooking

My GOd we do talk about strange and weird things here. I am guilty of hte getting up straight away and peeing cos I hate the icky's and i'm prone to UTI's. And i've mananged to get pregnant twice now without really tring. This baby now is called the one night wonder. We had one nigt of not using anything and what do i end up with a pregnancy.

baysmum, yes i'm 29wks preggy with #2
dean thinks he's 'the man' as both times we've conceived withing a few weeks of trying. jack was a honeymoon baby and this one we started trying for on the 5th jan and i got a BFP on the 24th.
we are very lucky as i have endo and pcos....dean just needs to sneeze near me and i get preggy

LMAO this thread is soooo funny to read. im thinking we must be pretty fertile too cos every time Ive got pregnant within the first month of trying and the last two times both of us were soooo sick with the flu and only did the deed once even close to ovulation time with me on top (supose to be the worst position, sorry TMI)but we still go pregnant. Plus last time I had started taking the mini pill again because we had decided to wait a couple of months, now Im so scared we might get pregnant again I think I will become celibat!

I still have no idea how I got pregnant so fast as I have PCOS on both ovaries and endo (last taken out Feb 05). Best of luck Baysmum for this month.
