Just wondering whether there is an easy way to do this (maybe I'm missing something really obvious )
I have a couple of big colourful plastic backed mats but DS never stays where he's put and he can't even crawl yet. Is there a trick to this or am I destined to get pee everywhere? I'm so glad its finally summer so I can give him no nappy time outside

lol i think you are destined to get pee everywhere...and boys are worse because they can spray...lol

i just let Cory have no nappy time, and just clean up as i need too, I just get a damp cloth and pat up the pee, and then put some baking soda over top and leave it for about 10mins then just vaccum it, never had any smells.

And yahhhh for warmer weather...now to just get rid of the damned wind

or in my case - no nappy time the other day ended in Miss Madam pooping on the floor - she cant crawl yet either and was on a towel but had scooted over the edge and pooped on the carpet!

I was just grateful i had locked the dogs outside! LOL

We just let Daniel roam and we had some spare nappy inserts for cloth nappies handy. They are really good cause when they do pee if you put one of those on top of it and press it quickly soaks it out of the carpet

i found pee puddles no worries to clean up, its the poopy accidents that are a bit harder. but i always made sure he had done a poo already before letting them go bare ass!

Don't let them sit on the couch as DH found out. One wet pillow later.

LOL, I our leather couches

Yep I'm afraid other than putting a giant tarpaulin down you're destined to end up with puddles everywhere! Just keep a stash of flats handy and they can be used to mop up pretty quickly

Yep not a lot you can do except be prepared for the mess We've had a couple of Code Browns recently, now I wait till he's filled his nappy before he goes without one. But even that's not foolproof! We're lucky - we have tiled floors in the living areas and it's warm all year round!

Yep that's pretty much what we do. He LOVES being naked and gets a lot of bare bum time. I was just thinking this morning its kind of like having a puppy
Oh and I have to agree flat cloth nappies are great for a whole lot of things.

Oh good idea about the nappy clothes!! I thought they were a bit useless now cos Rory doesnt spill anymore so was going to give them all away. Might have to hold on to a couple though now he is really active haha

I just cover the floor in blankets and hope for the best.  I move him if he's on his back near the tv/dvd etc or cd tower but he's free willy most afternoons and so far I've had very few puddles to clean up, he seems to be one of these kids that prefers to go in a nappy... I wonder what that means for toilet training in a few years.

We just mop up pee puddles, they drink so much its not nasty strong smelly pee anyway.

Little boys just pee all the time, ds is going through a current phase of waiting until he gets out the bath, crawling off at a million miles an hour, finds something to pull himself up on and then pees.

Thank god for wooden floors I say! We would let Thomas go crazy in summer and have a good hour or so of nakies time and boy did he love it!
