at what point do you make a doc appointment for your baby when they have a really bad cough ?

he is coughing a lot at night and waking himself, semms very unsettled and unhappy

his chest feels very rattly and wheasy...

advice please ???

Take him to the doc just to make sure his lungs are clear.

There is a bad cough going around Arianne has one but the doctor just said to give her Pamol and there is nothing else you can give her just ride it out.

Hope he gets better soon.

Nothing worse than waking up to your baby coughing in the middle of the night, that was Arianne last night.

Yeah Caden had a nasty cough when he was about 7 months old, and i took him to the dr and he said there was nothing I could really do apart from give him pamol and use vicks and karvol etc
And I offered him lots of water

You can get liquid olive leaf from good health shops, its safe to give babies 1-2mls 3x a day.
Also probiotics added to his bottle will help and boost his immune system.

Giving pamol actually will slow the healing process down, I wouldn't give it unless really necessary.
