A question for you... how do you clean puke off your carpet?
It was easier when Corban couldn't get about as he just puked on his playmat/blanket/me and I would just mop it up and chuck it in the wash at the end of the day. Now that he on the move and still puking like a champ I have lovely little bleach stains all over my new carpet I clean up the puke then pour warm water over it (thinking this would dilute the stomach acid??) and blot it dry using a cloth nappy. It looks clean but when it drys it has bleached the carpet! HELP!

From my stain & spot remover book.
Use spatula to remove solid matter & and old towel to blot up as much as possible. Prepare a sponging solution using one level tablespoon of laundry detergent in one cup of warm water, plus one tablespoon of white vinegar. Scrub into the area with a nail brush & try to avoid over wetting. Saturation will result in wet carpet backing. Use a dry cleaning fluid after traces of detergent has been sponged out with a series of damp cloths to remove greasy deposits. Blot persistently to absorb as much moisture as possible. Finally blot with old towels & put a fan on the area to dry carpet, never a heater. Vacuum when dry.
Not sure if this will help?

Playpen I found it easier to keep Jake fairly contained while he was spilling.

We're lucky, we have tiled floors But when we were on holiday in NZ I actually just used wet wipes a lot of the time - magical things! We were staying in motels/serviced apartments though, so fairly "industrial" carpet ... might be different on "normal" carpet??

we just use a cloth with water and scrub it out. we have dark carpet though and it def doesnt bleach it. the bright orange pumpkin stains and stuff are harder to get out but a bit of scrubbing and they fine. i just go round the house once a day or so and get them all out at once. i just wipe it up with a spill cloth throughout the days and deal with the marks later other wise it would be never ending
