| Hi there, I am not sure if this is the correct place to start this thread but will try here. I am breastfeeding my 4 week old bub and have developed a nasty rash on my chin. I'm gathering its hormonal, it is quite dry and itchy and looks like I have shavers rash! I have tried different moisterisers and rose hip oil all which don't seem to help much. Has anyone else experienced this and have you found something that works? |

mack gets it from dribbling and a few other babies in my antenatal group got it too. bepanthen worked for most of us and if it gets really bad we had one lady prescribed a cream for her girl to clear it up -------------

Could be perioral dermatitus... I got it really bad in the first trimester and it came and up until Jake was about 3 months old.
I would not use anything scented on it, perhaps stick to aqueous cream and if its persitant see a GP (or better still dermatologist) and they can give you some antibiotics to get rid of it. (or steriod cream if its another form of dermatitis). -------------

Hi there, I had exactly the same thing after having my DD. It went away after I (naughtily) popped them, and they didn't come back. (I am in no way advising you to pop them  , I'm pretty sure they would have gone away by themselves). It is a hormone thing, all the hormones in your body are changing, just as they did when you get pregnant / go through puberty etc. Hang in there!
