Is there anything you've found helps to give you an extra energy boost? I'm taking iron tablets and berocca sometimes helps but is there anything else that helps get you through the day?

Ditto on the toddler being away from you for a day, that's one thing that gives me a huge boost!

Other than that, I am still having 1 or 2 coffees per day, eating lots of small meals, napping whenever I can (which is never ) and trying to get to bed really really early each night.

I can't really think of anything else as I am ALWAYS tired and could go to sleep anywhere/anytime.

I hope someone else has some better ideas than me!

I second the coffee, I have at least 1 a day still, some days 2.

I have found an apple helps for a while too - have been eating a lot of them!

And napping when you can.

It sucks but at this stage in pregnancy, its hard to have any extra energy with all the goodness being sucked out of you.

I take Maltex twice a day (liquid malt) its a good energy booster. I try to eat a bowl of cut up fruit and yogurt too such as kiwi fruit and banana. Im sooo exhasted each day (28 weeks pregant) and I also take multi vitamins...

I find napping or resting, even if for just 20-30mins, having something refreshing like an apple or a glass of orange juice can help.

Weleda blackthorn berry elixir is great especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

I used to mix mine up with apple juice and drink it super cold during the day.

I don't think coffee is the way to go to be honest - what about keeping something like nuts and raisins etc in your bag for an extra boost of energy.

Perhaps try a bottle of water with some natural Glucose in it.

Cool thanks girls, lots of great ideas. I'm not a coffee drinker ('cause I never liked the taste) so had been having a few cokes to get that caffeine kick but sounds like a few other things I could try too, but probably just have to suck it up and get used to it!!

I second the nuts and raisins idea. I always kept almonds and dried fruit such as apricots, cranberries etc. with me at all times or muesli bars are easy to have in your handbag just in case as well.

It probably sounds kinda weird, but I have found the last week that if I drink more water it wakes me up. Must be with the warmer weather?

So in short, buy a bag of scroggin, a bag of barley sugars and throw some glucose in a bottle of water and you should be bouncing off the walls!!!
