Another question for today.
We are recently having issues with overnight nappies just not being good enough, as in by morning he is wet through including pj's sleeping bag and sheets and I am having to change everything daily. He has always done a lot of wees, he drinks lots but this has only recently been an issue. Does anyone else have this issue and any recommendations for brands of nappy I can try or anything else I can do, or do I just keep washing? -------------

I bought a nappy cover type thing from Farmers (the brand is superfit) that I put over the top of the disposable nappy. it looks similar to some of the MCN covers, and has a plastic bit around the leg gussets. It says its 100% polyester but feels kinda fleece like. Since using it I've only had one failure. ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

We use bigger size nappies at night time.
The girls are in 16kg+ huggies despite them only being 12/13kgs. We haven't had any accidents since doing this. |

We do the same as Tishy.
Hannah's in Huggies during the day, but we found Treasures Ultra (in the bigger size) to be awesome at nighttime. We still have the odd leak, but certainly better than using her normal-sized Huggies. -------------

Since doing the nappy hunt I've been eying up some of the dedicated nighttime mcn's on some of the sites. They're only on Australian sites but if I got them this month I could use my nappy hunt discount code. Has anyone tried any of them?
At the moment we are using pocket nappies during the day, and using extra inserts in them at night, with woolen longies over top. The longies work really well for keeping the leaks in and the bedding dry. Such a pain having to change bedding every day. -------------

I had the same problem when Jake was about that age. I used to put a pocket cloth (Fuzzi) nappy over top of a huggies. It worked well, and we only had to do it for a few months til he was having a sippy cup of milk before his bath, instead of a 300ml bottle right before bed!!
I found Huggies the best night nap, and also went up a size ... Jake was a big pee'er! (How he will ever be night time toilet trained I don't know cos he still has the odd leak in the biggest naps?!) One thing my GP suggested (when it was too late!) was to fold an old fashioned cloth nap up and put it inside a bigger disposable for night time. thought that was a good idea - esp if you're not using MCNs. ------------- DS (5yrs) and DD (3yrs) |

yip we had the same problem tried huggies, treasures ultras worked better than huggies but then also tried hemp cloth nappies with a plastic cover and two hemp inserts and have NEVER had a leak! so im hooked! ------------- http://lilypie.com">    [/url]
