I need tips on how i can make DDs naps longer.....
She will have a 30min nap around 8am, 45min nap around 1030/11am, 45 min nap around 130/230pm.
I have tried to let her cry to get her back to sleep, it doesnt work.
Come 4pm she is so tired but wont sleep anymore. She is down for the night by 6pm at the latest
Does anyone have any tips on what i can do?? She is 8 1/2 months old now. This has been happening since 4 months

Have you tried going in and rocking her/putting on some white noise/giving her a dummy/whatever you do to settle her right before you know she's going to wake up? In the hopes that when she starts stirring she will settle back to sleep Sounds like she's going one sleep cycle and then waking..?
It could just be that she likes short naps so you might just have to go with it. Maybe take her out for a walk around 4 if she's tired, she might go to sleep in the buggy? That tends to be my "last resort" at the mo
If it makes you feel ANY better Callum is 9 months now and for the past few weeks (months!) he's been kind of ready to drop his 3rd nap but not really and so our day naps are crazy atm as well. Drives you up the wall eh

Hi,
You sound identical to my darling DS, started at about 4 months and nothing helped.
Is she crawling yet?
DS started to move about 9 months and over the last month, so from 10 months has suddenly started sleeping longer and its lovely.
I just don't think he needed it before, we had the same issue was down for the night at 6pm, but still slept through until 7.
Sorry this wasn't meant to be bad, just that he did change eventually, I wish I could tell you of something that helped, but i just found nothing worked.
I guess what we did do was try and keep him up as long as we could between naps so that the last nap was at late as it could be knowing it would still only be 30 mins, but then he could get through dinner and bath.
It did drive me nuts!!
