I have found a formula she likes, and a bottle she will happily drink from. Thank God. I hate feeding and have lasted 3 months past my original goal, now I feel I am really ready to wean her.
Hollie normally gets breastfed before her sleeps. So about 9.30ish, 2.30 ish and 6.15ish. I have never quite figured out how to tell how much she has, but she sleeps through the night so it must be enough :) She has an amazing solids appetite, and eats mainly finger food.
So for the last week or so, she's been having the 2.30ish feed as a bottle, about 180mls. I generally make 200mls, and the last little bit becomes waste.
Where to from here? Do I drop the morning or night feed next? Plunket said 3 breastfeeds were enough, but how about 3 bottle feeds? How much should she be drinking each time?
TIA :)

My SIL is moving my niece to a bottle and she said that PLunket were going to give her a guideline as to how much she should be taking so maybe speak to your Plunket nurse.
I wouldn't think that it matters which feed you drop first, maybe whatever is easiest for you or the one she isn't the fussiest on (does that make sense? ). Just make sure you drop the bf's gradually so you don't cause yourself any discomfort or infections/blocked ducts etc

When I weaned the girls I dropped the bedtime one before the morning one.
But it was personal choice. It was easier to pop the boobies out for screaming babies than prepare bottles first thing in the morning
I don't know what the correct amount in mls is that an 8month should be having.
However the advice we got from our Paed was not to measure amounts.
Why measure how much formula she's drinking when you don't measure how much BM she's drinking.
And just when you think you've sussed how much formula to make for each feed, she'll go and change her habits and demand less (or more depending on the direction of the wind that week )
