I'm 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow & the morning sickness arrived with a vengeance yesterday afternoon. It seem much worse than it was with my son (who is now 2). Does anyone have some suggestions for getting relief? Anything you used that you felt really helped?

I found Sea Bands helped and also Blackmores Morning Sickness Tablets were a godsend!

Eating regularly helps too.

I agree with the blackmores I used them and also snacked every hour. As soon as I ate I always felt a little bit better. I feel for you.... But it does normally subside.

I forgot how awful it was! In fact I am feeling so sick I am now worried maybe it's twins!!! Scan next week so fingers crossed there's only one baby in there.
I have the naturopharm morningmed relief spray which is a homeopathic remedy & that helps a bit. I also made DH get me a packet of gingernut biscuits to nmuch on during the day.
Oh I hope the next 6 weeks goes by quick :(

I am so feeling your pain Odettenz!! I have found that on the days I eat small and frequent snacks/meals I feel great! Have also been avoiding citrus and other foods that give me indigestion
Ginger beer helps with the nausea. Have also heard that vitamin B26 can help too. Congratulations, good luck and hang in there

Yup sea-bands. I also have a natural spray which seems to help and the Blackmores have been recommended to me also.

Sometimes unfortunately nothing works or stuff stops working like in my case... wouldn't stress too much about it being twins either lol I've had really bad MS from the get go and definitely only one in there but i know one of the ladies on here had twins and had none! I would find things will sometimes work, and then become ineffective I have now got to the point where I don't use anything and just live through it on the days I have it, luckily only being a couple of days a week where I am spewing now and the rest of the week still have the constant nausea... I've tried everything everyone has said above except seabands, The blackmores worked a couple of times for me, also a naturopharm one aswell, If it gets really bad you could try going to the dr and getting Maxalon, I used that and it only just started being uneffective now. Good luck hun and I hope that you don't get it the whole way through like me

Ginger worked well for me. I did have to take Maxolon at the peak of MS though. Apart from that eating small amounts regularly also helped as well. I got MS back again in the 3rd tri so started ginger again which worked a treat.

ETA I was taking Ginger tablets (Travel Calm I think they were)

Hi there - I'm 6.5 weeks and no MS until last week I think I ate something dodgy as woke at 4am and had to run to the bathroom .. was on the loo and throwing up at the same time. All the next day I couldn't move so am wondering if it was food poisoning maybe? Was over in 24 hrs but the last few days I've been feeling queezy, sort of like motion sickness but it comes and goes - is this what MS is?

Get a big bottle of bundaberg ginger beer! It's yummy and makes you feel pretty good! Drink it while it's still fizzy though. Flat ginger beer doesn't work very well

Pants - Hehe, sounds like your MS got kick started with food poisoning. MS doesn't come out both ends! But yeah, I had the sudden nausea throughout the day until about 12 weeks. You're lucky if you're not throwing up (I didn't and I'm so glad!)

Hi - I found anything ginger helped (ginger beer, ginger ale, ginger nuts....), combined with dry plain food eg milk arrowroot bikkies, crackers, pretzels.

Anything dairy was a no go for me, the creaminess just made it worse. Make sure you are eating every hour, and the best piece of advice I can give - no matter what, sleep lots cos the minute you get tired you can guarantee that the ms will kick in with avengence!!

Wondering where you post the code for your tickers? I've tried to paste it in the signature part of my profile but doesn't seem to work - any ideas?

Thanks for all the tips guys. I have stocked up on the ginger products & am still using the naturopharm spray. Isn't amazing how you forget just how awful the MS is until you're pregnant again & then you go "aha, now I remember". It's going to be a long first trimester....
Still I shouldn't complain because MS is a sign of a strong pregnancy with lots of hormones, & I have had two MCs this year so I should be grateful for the MS. Yeah right.....
Hope we are feeling better soon!
