Does anyone know if an xray would show up cysts?
Just wondering as I had one done last year when I was mega sick and they suspected a bust cyst or an eptopic but it turned out to be a blocked intestine (YOU NEVER want to experience that one believe me). Anyways no sign of any problems then but I am wondering if my strange pains on side may be a cyst.
Any ideas if xray would show them up or how long they form over?
BTW Im due for Af today but so far no sign and did a POAS and got BFN so.......all Im left with is a mighty headache today and still not feeling 100% after being sick this week.

I would imagine one would show up on Xray. I had one when I was pregnant with Angie that they noticed after she was born and my uterus wasn't going back to where it was suposed to be. They just did an ultrasound and it showed up. Incidentally, it grew from 5cm to 13cm in about 6months before they took it out.
I also get sore on my left side at times. It's like a sharp stabbing pain. Have been to my dr as I thought it may be another cyst and she just said to keep an eye on it but it's fairly common. My mother gets it sometimes too

< language=> As you know ive got PCOS but at this stage no cysts have shown up on xrays (mind you that was well over a year or so ago). I too get pain in my left side thats how i usually know that Im ovulating from that overie. Mind you may mention it at my fertility appointment next Friday & see if its anything major.

I have PCOS on both sides, and the dr could never see the cysts on the right side but can see them on the left with an xray. Yet the cysts on the right side are bigger and more painful than the left - Go figure.
